History
The first branch opened its doors on November 3rd 1817 on the Rue Saint-Paul with Montreal. It was used as central bank in Canada to the foundation of the Banque of Canada in 1935. It took share with the financing of the transcontinental Railroad Canadian in the Années 1880.
