Bank Pt

The Banque Die Pt is a common contest organized by ENSAM and ENS Cachan intended for the students in Preparatory class at the universities Physique and Technology (Pt). The near total of the schools recruiting on this die pass by this bank of tests.

Writings

They are composed of 13 tests:
  • Mathematical: three tests of 4:00, each one with dominant Geometry, Linear algebra or analyze.
  • Physics-chemistry
    • Physique has and b: relate to the entirety of the program.
    • Physical C: exclusively Thermodynamic and Chemistry.
  • industrial Sciences
    • IF has and C: multi-field tests on the entirety of the program (automatism, mechanics, RDM, computer-integrated manufacturing and design) being based on the study of a mechanical or industrial system.
    • IF b: design of a mechanical system, evaluating competences in Technical design.
  • French-philosophy
    • French a: essay on works with the program.
    • French b: summarized of a text philosophy and essay.
  • Living languages
    • LV a: Version and questions
    • LV b: Topic and contraction

Each school of the common contest allots coefficients different to the various tests according to the profile from required candidate. According to the schools to which the candidate postulated, it can not pass all the tests.

Oral examinations

The test of TIPE/ADS is common to all the schools, although some do not hold account or organize of it a maintenance or a test of independent ADS.

The candidates aspiring to ENSAM subject themselves to oral examination 1, organized by center ENSAM of Paris. It comprises a test of mathematics, an oral examination of industrial sciences and a maintenance in living language, two if the candidate chose one second living language (optional).

Oral examination 2 is organized in the campus of the ENS Cachan for the acceptable candidates with the ENS Cachan, X or one of the schools of the contests Power station-Supélec, Mine-Bridges or CPC. It is composed of an oral examination of mathematics, of an oral examination of physics, a TP of physics and a TP of IF. If the candidate presents an optional living language, the note of oral examination 1 is taken into account.

The other schools organize specific oral examinations.
