Banedanmark

Banedanmark , created on March 1st, 2004, is the organism in charge of managed the Railway network of the Denmark.

The mission of management entrusted to Banedanmark includes/understands:

  • the maintenance of the existing railway network,
  • the realization of new infrastructures decided by the public authorities,
  • the management of circulations (shunting indication, headquarters…)
  • the allowance of the capacities of circulation (furrows),
  • the covering of the Toll S had by the railway operating .

The manpower of the company is of 2500 employees (2005).

The network managed by Banedanmark includes/understands 2323 km of line with normal way, including 446 km electrified in Alternative course 25 Kv 50 Hz and 170 km in D.C. current 1500 V.
