At the northern entry of the village the vestiges of a metallurgical exploitation with its Haut-fourneau remain. The feeder canal which overhangs it, supplied with water of Nive collected upstream, probably involved a wheel and a blower injecting the air in the base of the blast furnace. The adjacent buildings, always overhung by the channel, were to shelter the Laminoir S which also used the driving force of the river.
