Banatski Karlovac

Banatski Karlovac , in Serb Cyrillic Sr БанатскиКарловац, in Hungarian hu German Nagykárolyfalva and Sr Karlsdorf, is a town of Serbia located in the autonomous province of Voïvodine. It belongs to the municipality of Alibunar in the district of the southernmost Banat. In 2002, it counted: 5820 inhabitants, of which a majority of Serb.

Geography

The major part of Banatski Karlovac is in the zone of the natural reserve of Deliblatska Peščara. The locality close to Devojački Bunar is attached to the city.

The city is located at 40 km of Pančevo and at 25 km of Vršac, on the European Route E70, which, in this sector, connects Belgrade to Timişoara (in Romania).
