A balloon is a light and relatively tight container intended to be filled of gas, in general of the air, sometimes of helium so that the balloon flies. The modern balloon of goldbeater's skin was invented by the scientist Michael Faraday in 1824 but its mass production started only in the years 1930.
Balloons of goldbeater's skin
These balloons which are used as toy or as decorative element are generally in latex, except certain giant models (of more than one diameter measures) in chloroprène.They are the most spread balloons, they are generally filled of air because they are porous and when they are filled with helium fly more than with difficulty 24 heures.
The balloons of form which make it possible to make sculptures are latex balloons in length, they owe beings inflated with a pump with ballon.
There exist also small latex balloons which are used as bombs with water.
Metallized nylon balloons
These balloons, much expensive than the latex balloons are often called, wrongly, balloons out of mylar or aluminum; They are generally filled with helium and can then fly between two weeks and two months. These balloons have an integrated valve, they do not need to be closed afterwards to have inflated summers.
