Ballet dancing of India

The ballet dancings of India are the forms of dances described by the treaty Nâtya-shâstra, i.e.:

One includes there sometimes the ballet dancings of the Assam:

  • the Sattriya,
  • the Savaguwa dance and Row-guwa Ojapali
  • Dewgharar Dev.-Natir Nritya

and the Kathak, dance of India of the Persian North of origin.

It will be noted that the Manipuri does not form part of this list.
