Balleroy is a common French, located in the department of the Calvados and the area Basse-Normandie.
Its inhabitants is called the Biardais (be) .
Geography
The village is located at the edge of the forest of Balleroy, at thirteen kilometers of
Bayeux and twenty kilometers of
Saint-Lo, in the valley of Drome.

- the Château of Balleroy builds at the 17th century by the architect François Mansart; its gardens with the Frenchwoman are of André Ours for Jean de Choisy, adviser of Louis XIII. It remained in the family of Balleroy until in 1970. The village was built around the castle.
Personalities related to the commune
The castle was bought by the billionaire of the American press, Malcolm Forbes in 1970. The festival of the balloon does not exist any more since June 1999 and was the 19th edition and last demonstration.
Events
Each year takes place a gathering of Montgolfière S with the
Château of Balleroy . This gathering took place for the last time in
1998, for the 80 years which Malcolm Forbes would have had.
