Ball of Snow
The Bal of Snow is a Canadian Festival which is held in the area of Ottawa/Gatineau in full heart of the winter, during the first 3 end of the week of February.
This festival celebrates various ways, the winter life.
History
The Ball of snow is a founded winter festival in 1978 by the Commission of the national capital (CCN).
Activities offered
Various activities are proposed to the children as with largestWith Gatineau, the Field of the Flakes, with the Jacques-Cartier park, one finds a vast park of recreation, slips, climbings, walks in sledges with dogs and horses, dance, spectacles and animation makes the pleasure of many families since years.
The shutter of Ottawa is much vaster, with many sites whose Canal Curtain celebrates it, the longest skating rink in world (7,8 km).
One can be also filled with wonder vis-a-vis the immense structures of snow (located on the Channel Curtain) and of ice (last the National center of Arts or CNA) made within the framework of an international competition.
One can attend high level spectacles on the Scandinavian Scene, located very close to the lock S driving at the Rivière of Outaouais.
