Balbigny

Balbigny is a common French, located in the department of the the Loire and the area the Rhone-Alps.

Geography

Balbigny is located in edge of the Loire, close to Feurs. This commune is crossed by the RN82 which goes from Etienne Saint to Roanne. It is also served by a highway exit (exchanger A72/A89)

History

It have one of the first railroad: The 3rd line of France Andrézieux - Roanne opens its 1st section on August 1st 1832 between St Bonnet Oules and Balbigny.
