Balaruc-the-Baths
Balaruc-the-Baths is a common French, located in the department of the Herault and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. Since December 31st, 2002, it belongs to the Communauté of agglomeration of the Basin of Thau. Its inhabitants is called Balarucois.
Geography
Balaruc-the-baths is built on banks of the Étang of Thau.
History
The baths of Balaruc were known of the Gallo-Romans, as the excavations carried out in the commune prove it. The curists for this time have not ceased coming to look after itself thanks to the virtues of warm water of the station. The mud of the pond of Thau, which borders Balaruc, is very appreciable.
Under the Old Mode, Balaruc-the-Baths was only one religious parish (Notre-Dame of Aix) on the territory of the community of Balaruc.

December 11th 1886 : the commune of Balaruc is divided into two communes whose chief towns are Balaruc-the-Old man and Balaruc-the-Baths
