Bajo Aragón

The Comarque of Bajo Aragón is an Aragonese area in the Province of Teruel (Spain).

The communes of Aguaviva, Belmonte de San Jose, Cañada de Verich, Cerollera, Codoñera, Ginebrosa and Torrevelilla are bilingual and speak the Castillan and the Catalan; they belong so that one calls the Frange of Aragon ( Franja ).

The economy is based on industry and the agriculture (olive-trees and fruit trees of which particularly pêchers).

Tourism

The town of Alcañiz has a medieval castle dating from the 12th century, a purse ( lonja ) Gothic, a town hall of Renaissance style and collegial a baroque. Some of the localities are on the Route of the drum and the large case ( Ruta LED tambor there el bombo ), for example Calanda.
