Baiyin

Baiyin (白银; Pinyin: Báiyín) is a city of the province Gansu in China.

Demography

The population of the prefecture was estimated at: 1740000 inhabitants in 2004, and that of the town of Baiyin with: 193755 inhabitants in 2007.

Administrative divisions

The city-prefecture of Baiyin exerts its jurisdiction on five subdivisions - two districts and three counties  :
  • the district of Baiyin - 白银区 Báiyín Qū   ;
  • the district of Pingchuan - 平川区 Píngchuān Qū   ;
  • the county of Jingyuan - 靖远县 Jìngyuǎn Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Huining - 会宁县 Huìníng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Jingtai - 景泰县 Jǐngtài Xiàn .
