Bahamut Lagoon (バハムートラグーン) is a Tactical RPG of Square Co., left on Super Nintendo in 1996 and only in Japan.
History
" Bahamut" is a giant, recurring dragon in the series headlight of Public garden,
Final Fantasy. It is in general the ultimate invocation, or one of best.
Bahamut Lagoon takes again the topic of the dragons, in an air world, made up of islands which float in the clouds, and proposes a history of resistant to a totalitarian Empire. Those go renconter the princess Yoyo, downward Dragoon, which has the capacity to speak with the dragons.
During the play, the team will meet these dragons, which will join them one by one and become units with whole share then.
Principle
There the originality of
Bahamut Lagoon resides: he proposes to raise his dragons in their giving to eat. According to food, they gain in life, force, or fire, ice… According to the elements which they control (feu+glace, poison+foudre…), their appearance changes, and can sometimes become amazing.
They then only move during the combat, it is not possible to direct them.
Graphics
Bahamut Lagoon is with
Seiken Densetsu 3 (the continuation of
Secret off Mana ) considered by some as one of the more good games of the console. Its originality lies in the fact that it uses, and this during all the play, on each screen a kind of veil of transparent light.
