Bag of Wexford
The bag of Wexford took place from October 2nd to 11th 1649, during the Conquête cromwellienne of Ireland, when the New Model Army of Oliver Cromwell takes the town of Wexford, in the south-east of the Ireland. When the officer negotiated the rendering of the city, the soldiers destroyed it mainly, killing military and civil. The memory of the bag of Wexford is still strong in Ireland, just like for the Siège of Drogheda.
Context
Wexford is held by the catholics during the Irish confederated Guerres.
