Badge

A badge is an object which one attaches on clothing, generally using a metal fastener in form of safety pin. Its form varies according to its use.

Fashion accessory

If the badge is used as fashion accessory, its goal is primarily esthetic even claiming. It consists of a metal support in the shape of disc with the safety pin on a face and a reason, a slogan or initials on the visible face. It is an accessory very much used in the culture rock'n'roll, which knew full sound rise in the Années 1970. The metal disc can have various standard diameters: 20 mm, 25 mm, 38 mm, 50 mm, 59 mm and 76 Misters.

All the metal part is generally manufactured in series but the accessoirisation is often done in an artisanal way and in limited series.

Chart of professional identification

If the badge is used as chart of professional identification, it presents on one of the faces at least information allowing the identification: name or Logotype of the company which gives the badge, name, first name and photography of the carrier,… It can comprise a means of fixing: Crocodile clip, safety pin, cord,… Certains professional badges are smart cards and allow a reading without contact.
