Bade (Land)
The Bade ( of Baden ) was a German Land created in 1945 by the French occupying forces and which included/understood the South of old the République of Bade. The Land was officially called the Bade-of-South ( of Südbaden ) until December 2nd, 1946. Its capital was Freiburg-in-Brisgau.
Wurtemberg-Bade is one of the eleven Länder founders of the the Federal Republic of Germany, on May 23rd, 1949. In 1952, it was amalgamated with Länder of Wurtemberg-Bade and Wurtemberg-Hohenzollern to create the Bade-Wurtemberg.
