Bad Painting
In the USA, borrowing from arts of the street, (graffiti, stencil key sets, posters…) in reaction to intellectual art and a conventional suspicion of the Seventies (Minimal art, Conceptual art, and taking as a starting point marginal cultures and ideologies, (Punk, Rock'n'roll, Afro-American, Spanish-American…) is born the bad painting. Voluntarily dirty and neglected, it is on the line of the free, and released Figuration, in a version at the very least Expressionniste.
