Bacchiglione (department)

The Bacchiglione was old a department Royaume of Italy of 1806 to 1814. It was named according to the river Bacchiglione, and had for Chef-lieu Vicence.

History

The department was created continuation the annexation by the kingdom of Italy May 1806 of Venice and its dependences (Istrie and Dalmatie).

He knows some modifications of limits the December 22nd 1807, in July 1810 and the September 28th 1810, gaining in particular there the areas of Lonigo, Castelfranco and of Bassano, detached from the departments of the Adige, the Piave and the Tagliamento.
