Bacchidès
Bacchidès is a general of Démétrios {{Ier}} Sôter, king of Syria and governor of the Mésopotamie. Bacchidès came in Judaea to establish the high priest Alcime there. It had to fight Juda Macchabée, which had much lower forces (it had only 800 men) and which perishes at the time of the combat. However, Bacchidès was finally constrained by Jonathan Macchabée to give up Judaea.
