Baccalaureat sciences and technologies of agronomy and the alive one

The baccalaureat STAV Sciences and Technologies of Agronomy and Alive the is a technological vat which replaces old technological vats STAE (Sciences and Technologies of Agronomy and the Environment) and STPA (Sciences and Technologies of the Food product).

It gives access to the higher learning in the field of the Agriculture, the Environnement or the Agroalimentaire.

One should not confuse technological baccalaureat STAV with the general baccalaureat S speciality agronomy, also prepared to him in agricultural college.

Access

Vat STAV is accessible to 2 types of pupils:

After a class of second general and technological with favorable opinion of the staff meeting for an orientation in 1st Technological. It is advised with the pupils to have followed in second the teaching of determination " Ecology-agronomy-territory-citoyenneté".
After a BEPA (agricultural BEP) or a BEP in connection with the vat, good school records and an favorable opinion of the staff meeting. These pupils will be able to pass by a Première of adaptation.

The pupils interested by this baccalaureat must be interested in agriculture, the environment and/or the agroalimentary one (quality of the products, management…) and to a lesser extent with biology and the ecology.

Formation

The latter is exempted in agricultural colleges and includes/understands theoretical courses but also TP (Practical works) and TD (Directed Work); as 8 weeks of training courses intended to test theoretical knowledge of the pupil " on the terrain" and to test its motivation.

Nonaffected hours, or EIL (Space of Local Initiative), correspond approximately to the specialities of the vat generals. The EIL allows a deepening in the field, with the choice, of the agricultural production, the services in rural environment, the transformation of the food products and installation and of the valorization of space .

Access to all BTSA (agricultural BTS), all confused specialities then, possibly, with the professional licenses of the selected field.
Access to BTS in connection with the field of agriulture, environment etc…

For best: schools of engineers or agronomy: after the vat, INSA (bac+1), prépa BCPST (bac+2)

These studies can déoucher on a station with responsibility (framing of a team…), on a creation of company or a resumption of exploitation…

Various BTS (management and control of water, management and protection of nature…)
HAD biological genius, speciality genius of the environment (on file)
Preparatory classes BCPST

Caution! The outlets are mainly in the treatment of waste water and the management of waste.

Agroalimentary

Various BTS (BTS agribusiness industries, BTS cereal industries…)
HAD biological food industries and
Without forgetting the BTS and HAD in the commercial field.

The outlets are correct, even numerous. Positions of power in the framing, manufacture, management qulity but also in the commercial field.

The Université (out HAD and Pro licenses) is not adapted to graduates STAV. Only the motivated, hard-working pupils and of a sufficient general level will be able to take up the challenge.

Preparatory classes BCPST select on file (notes of 1st and Final plus the appreciations). One thus needs a concrete file to have a chance vis-a-vis the scientific graduates who consituent large the allowed one.
