BYO Records

BYO Records is a label Californien independent of Punk created by Shawn and Mark Stern (2 of the 3 brother of the group Californien Youth Brigade) BYO is the abbreviation of " Better Youth Organization " (or " Organization of Best Jeunesse") and aims to proumovoir the Punk and other alternative cultures of youth. BYO Records is used of extension and realization of the éthos supported by Youth Brigade such as the belief of " youth is an attitude, not a age" , and of " each generation is its responsible to change what is bad in the monde." The label left several albums influential group, if not the " group; kind-defining" , 7 Seconds and SNFU in the years 1980 include and Leatherface, The Unseen, Throw Rag, Pistol Grip, Souls, Youth Brigade/Swinging Utters and Alkaline Trio/One Man Army and other group nowadays. The label also began the " BYO Split Series " who are albums divided by groups coming from other labels, such as NOFX/Rancid, Anti-Flag/The Bouncing Souls, Youth Brigade/Swinging Utters and Alkaline Trio/One Man Army. The label celebrated its 25e birthday in 2007.
