BRF-TV

BRF-TV is the public television channel of the German-speaking Communauté of Belgium pertaining to the public group Belgischer Rundfunk (BRF).

History of the chain

The activity of television of the BRF began in 1993 with the diffusion on RTBF of the weekly magazines Maskerade and MAG . October 4th 1999 the BRF created BRF-TV , a daily television program produced and diffused on the cable in the German-speaking community. During five years, the televiewers could see each day the magazine 10vor which on October 4th, 2004 BRF-blickpunkt succeeded.

Diffusion

BRF-TV is diffused since June 7th 2004 in the area of Liege and in the municipalities of Welkenraedt, Jalhay and Stavelot. The TV-distributer “Télédis” twice a day opens a one hour old to him window on the channel of EuroNews around 17:45 and 21:45. The network “Intermosane” diffuses also BRF-TV with Theux, Spa and Verviers.

Emissions

  • BRF-blickpunkt : newspaper of information regional 15 minutes diffused of the Monday to Friday to 17:45, repeat broadcast at 6 a.m. the morning. This newspaper treats topicality, economic life, cultural, political and sporting of the area, followed by a weather report.

  • Blick ins Inland : To satisfy the needs for information of the televiewers on the Belgian interior policy, the BRF diffuses the every day this magazine carried out with images of RTBF.

  • the FIT & Gesund : emission devoted to health and the wellbeing diffused each second Thursday of the month in co-operation with the ministry for the health of the the German-speaking Community of Belgium.

  • BRF-TV-Wochenrückblick and 7en1 (Télévesdre): diffused saturdays with 12:45 and Sunday evening with 22:45
