BB 9003-9004
BB 9003 and BB 9004 are French electric engines with D.C. current with two bogies of two axles. They made following BB 9000 intended to test the behavior of the engines with Total adhesion in exploitation. These machines are Prototype S, known as BB Jacquemin (series BB 9200, 9300, 9400, 16000, 25100/25150, 25200 and 30000).
The BB 9003 was the first engine which was operated by remote control.
The BB 9004 beat on March 29th, 1955 the Speed records on rail to 331 km/h on the line of the Landes between Facture and Morcenx (on March 28th, DC 7107 reached only 320,6 km/h, but the SNCF carried the record of 331 km/h to the credit of the 2 machines not to injure Alsthom, the manufacturer of the DC 7107).

BB 9004 : Quoted of the train of Mulhouse, in a presentation identical to that of the record of 1955. It is acted in fact of the case of the BB 9003, the 9004 too being degraded to be renovated, but the mechanical part of the BB 9004 was kept and incorporated in the case of the 9003.
