BB 17000
The BB 17000 are locomotive electric of the SNCF.
Description
They are single-phase machines (only suited to 25 Kv) of the big family of the “BB Alsthom”, called “dancers”, with BB 8500/BB 8700/BB 88500, BB 16500, BB 20200 and BB 25500.
They were built with 105 specimens (BB 17001 to 17105) and no so far is erased.
Downward direct of BB 16500, they have on these last a certain advantage in term of power.
Service
After a first part of career varied on various types of trains, they were gathered on the Parisian suburban trains . They all are today assigned to the activity Transilien.
The machines of the deposit of Achères circulate regularly on group 4 of the network Paris St-Lazare (Paris - Mantes/Pontoise/Gisors-Junction by Conflans) and on group 5 (Paris - Mantes by Poissy).
Those of the deposit of the Vault are préseantes also on the network Paris-North, between Paris and Persan by Ermont or Monsoult, like on Paris-North - Luzarches by Monsoult. In rush hours, they serve Crépy-in-Valois via Aulnay under Bois and Mitry-Claye.
On the network Paris-Is, certain trains of point ensured by BB 17000 connect Paris and Meaux or Nanteuil-Sâacy; since the closing of the deposit of the Villette, in fact the BB 17000 of the Vault serve these lines.
The nearest arrival of BB 27300 on the network Paris St-Lazare will involve FOR THE THIRD TIME the change of some BB 17000 with the hook of oars RRR ensuring of the services in Normandy, or BB 16500 finish their long career.
Particular machines
- BB 17005 : Machine rebuilt on a frame of BB 25500 after an accident.
- BB 17029 : It is the only engine of the series to still preserve delivered Béton.
