The vitamin B₃ is a water-soluble Vitamine which exists in two forms: the nicotinamide , sometimes called niacinamide and the niacine (nicotinic acid). It is also called vitamin PP for will pellagra preventive because it has a preventive action on the Pellagre.

The vitamin B₃, precursor of NAD ( nicotinamide adénine dinucléotide ) and of NADP ( nicotinamide adénine dinucléotide phosphate ), is necessary to the Métabolisme Glucide S, Lipide S and Protéine S.

The B₃ vitamin is found mainly in the Lait, vegetables leafy and the egg S.
