B.O.S.S. which means “Boss Scandalz Strategyz Off” is a label created in 1998 by JoeyStarr of the group of rap NTM, DJ Spank and DJ Naughty J pertaining to Sony BMG.

History of the label

In 1999, leaves the first compilation, B.O.S.S. Volume 1, which gathers 15 rappeurs, of which Lord Kossity, Mass, FatCap, Sniper and Iron Sy. Individual the Like each summer recorded by Joey Starr and FatCap follows during the summer 1999. The emission SkyB.O.S.S. east creates and is used as window with Skyrock which carries out its more beautiful audiences at this time there. This emission is animated by JoeyStarr, DJ Spank and DJ Naughty J.

After having produced the album Black Mama of raspy the Lady Laistee, the B.O.S.S. leaves its second compilation in 2000 and takes part in the Clash the compilation of remix of NTM. They also produce with Funky Maestro the Original soundtrack of the film Old School.

In 2001, is launched on the market a DVD Who' S The B.O.S.S. which follows all the peregrinations of the collective in round and studio. The same JoeyStarr year and DJ Spank produce the original soundtrack of the film Yamakasi.

Label B.O.S.S. returns in force in 2004 with " 3rd Opus" who contains the pieces " Freestyle" and " Danger". 2004 are also the year of the stop of SkyB.O.S.S.

At the beginning of June 2006 a personal selection of JoeyStarr leaves in compilation (mixed by DJ James) My Playlist at Wagram (and not on its label B.O.S.S.). At the end of June 2006 the label leaves the 1st album Iron Sy Irony , then on October 16th, 2006 JoeyStarr leaves its first album solo Gare In Jaguarr. Meanwhile the label lost many artists: Naja, Vip.R, FatCap, SpeedBond 007 and especially DJ Spank. This last explains its departure by saying that there was a conflict of ego with JoeyStarr.

In 2007 " Opus 4" , the second album of JoeyStarr and the first of D.Dy are announced for 2008.
