Bělbog

Belobog , Belbog , Bialbog , Byelobog , Bielobog , Belun , Bylun ( the white god , called Kolada , Dazhbog or Ovsen in the east of the Slavic areas) (roughly “the white god”) is the god of kindness and the day in the Slavic Mythologie. Its antithesis is Černobog (“the black god”). Nevertheless this dualism exhausts current research progressively.

The legends tell that Belobog was sent by Svarog to create a human race with its image. Belobog made two attempts before seeing Svarog satisfied with its work. Then, Belobog would have installed its throne with the North pole. Since then, he would visit his children each end of the year. He is described as an old man with the white beard, of large stature, dressy with white, with a pilgrim's staff. Several think that it is the origin of the Father Christmas.

Belobog can be compared to the god Heimdall R of the Scandinavian Mythologie, which was him also sent by Odin to create humanity.
