Béthaire of Chartres

Saint Béthaire of Chartres or Bohaire (Betharius) , bishop of Chartres of the beginning of the 6th century, known in year 600 by Frédégaire and a late Vita which, in spite of its anachronisms, seems to have a solid historical base. Named in Chartres shortly after 595 by Clotaire II of which he was the chaplain, he is the hero of a defense of the city against the troops of Thierry II of Burgundy.
