Bénoué
Bénoué (also written Benue according to the orthography Africanist) is a river of Africa and the principal affluent of the river Niger.
The river is approximately 1400 km long. It takes its source in the solid mass of the Adamaoua in the north of the Cameroun, then moves to the west towards the Nigeria while passing by the town of Garoua, before being thrown in the Niger with Lokoja, a little in the south of Abuja.
With its upstream in the Adamaoua, its bed dug a Canyon in cliff, then crosses the National park of Boubandjida and reached the area of Garoua. The flora present in its boxed section resembles more certain places with that of the forests which one meets in the south of the country, in contrast with the flora of the plate which is more a raised Savane and flora of the plain, of raised and shrubby nature.
The National park of Bénoué remains to be discovered.
