Bélial

Belial is a demon reigning on the Orient.

It draws its name of the Hebrew meaning without utility , good-for-nothing .

This king of the Hell, to the appearance alluring and the gracious maintenance, passes for " the Spirit the more dissolu, most villainous, more vicieux". He was created just after Lucifer and pushed the majority of the Ange S with the revolt and it is thus for that he would have been one of the first to be reversed sky and with being precipitated in the infinite abysses.

Solomon would have succeeded in imprisoning it in an earthenware jar which it would have hidden at the bottom of a well. But the Babylonians, at the time of their conquest of Jerusalem, would have explored this well and, believer to find a treasure, broke the earthenware jar, thus allowing Belial to escape and to continue its misdeeds.

He is the god of the revolt and anarchy, the prince of the Fraud, the chief of the Bad Spirits. It is another name of Satan in the New Testament.

He was adored by the inhabitants of Sodome, therefore one made of him the demon of sodomy. For the Christians, Bélial illustrated the worships of Antiquity. It was represented driving a tank of fire. One also compared it with the Antéchrist and the Bête of the Apocalypse.

It gets dignities and favors, made live the friends in good intelligence, gives skilful servants and helps those which are subjected to him.

It incarnates the meeting of the defect and the villainy under a tempting appearance.
