Béla II of Hungary
Béla II the Blind man Árpád (Hungarian: Béla II Vak ), born between the 1108 and 1110, deceased February 13rd 1141, buried with Székesfehérvár, was king of Hungary and Croatia of 1131 with 1141). Wire of Álmos and Predslavna of Kiev.
His/her father Álmos being rebelled against the king Koloman, Béla and had to him into 1115 the burst eyes and had to flee with Constantinople. It was nevertheless recalled in Hungary in 1131 to died of Etienne II, his first cousin (death without posterity) which had made its successor of it, and crowned the April 28th of this same year. Because of its handicap, it was especially his wife Jelena (or Helene, or Ilona) and the brother of this one, Beloš , which held the reins of the capacity. At the beginning of the reign of Béla, Jelena made assassinate all those which she regarded as persons in charge of the blindness of her husband. It named her brother " duke of Hongrie" , entrusted to him the direction of the army and an important station at the court gave him. The reign of Béla was marked by foreign alliances with the Austria (his/her Hedwig sister was married with Léopold III) and the Bohemia (his/her other Adelaide sister married Sobieslav I {{er}}), before enemy. It was also marked by ceaseless fights with Boris, an illegitimate son of Coloman, which claimed the throne. This one had been combined with the Poles and the Russians, but their armies were defeats with the battle of Sajo, which did not prevent Boris from continuing to intrigue. Béla was given up with excesses of the wine, and died about it the February 13rd 1141. His death, his/her son Géza succeeded to him but, being too young to reign, Jelena and its Beloš brother continued to direct the country.
He had married the April 28th 1127 Jelena Nemanja, of which he had four wire and two girls:
- Elisabeth, born towards 1128;
- Géza II (1130 - 1162), king de Hongrie;
- Ladislas II (1131 - 1163), king de Hongrie;
- Etienne IV (v. 1133 - 1165), king de Hongrie;
- Álmos (born in 1134);
- Zsófia (born towards 1136).
