Béla Fleck and the Flecktones

Béla Fleck and the Flecktones is a group of Jazz fusion. The formation is indeed rather original with a player of Banjo, a Saxophoniste/Flûtiste, a Bassiste and a beater using a Drumitar.

As the name indicates it, the leader Béla Fleck is very influential within the group. Its play with the very technical Banjo brings a its private individual to the group.

The brothers Victor and Roy Wooten respectively ensure the rhythm section low and the battery. Victor Wooten is universally known for its technical play using the Slap in particular. Future Man plays of the percussions on a Drumitar, it is a Synthétiseur MIDDAY where the buttons are on a guitar.

The Lineup of the group changed little from the exit of the first album. Howard Levy, a player of harmonica took part in the first three albums. After its departure, Béla Fleck and the Wooten brothers left the album Three Flew Over the Cuckoo' S Nest, in reference to a film left in 1975: One Flew Over the Cuckoo' S Nest, based on a news of Ken Kesey. Lastly, they were joined by Jeff Coffin with the saxophone starting from the album Live Art.

The group gained several Grammy awards. Lastly, all the members at least left an album solo.
