Geography
As the crow flies, Bédarieux is located at approximately 56 km in the west of Montpellier, 22 km in the west of Clermont-l' Herault and 30 km in the north of Béziers.The commune is located in the valley of the Orb, a coastal river North-South sliding ring upstream of East-West Bédarieux then downstream.

- Louis-Year Stopover (1737-1799): Adjudant-general, one of the lieutenants de Napoléon Bonaparte during the campaigns of Italy and Egypt, died at the time of the seat of Midsummer's Day d' Acre.
