Béchara el-Khoury
Béchara el-Khoury (rear RTL بشارةالخوري) was born in 1890 in a Maronite family and died on January 1st 1964. He was president of the republic of the Lebanon of the 11 to the November 22nd 1943, at the time of the period of independence, and the September 21st 1943 with the September 19th 1952. He was also Prime Minister of Lebanon during the French mandate of the May 5th 1927 with the August 10th 1928 and of the May 9th to the October 11th 1929.
November 11th, 1943, it is made stop and is sent to the Château of Rashaïa with Camille Chamoun, Riyadh be-Solh and other freedom fighters. Its release on November 22nd, 1943 becomes the day of the independence of Lebanon. In 1943, it creates the party AD Dastour, directed by Michel el-Khoury after his death in 1964.
