Bécégite
The bécégite is a complication of the Vaccination by BCG, generally benign. It is a local or regional inflammatory reaction, it is most frequently observed in children vaccinated before the 6 months age, even a year, and is supported by a too important amount of vaccine, or a too major site of injection (will intra muscular instead of will intra dermic).
The bécégite disseminated is a very serious complication, sometimes mortal, occurring in a third of the case in children presenting a immunizing Déficit combined severe (DICS).
The full number of bécégites disseminated is estimated according to the French Academy of medicine at a dozen of case per annum in France and according to the Head office of health to two to five times for a million vaccinated.
