Bébête show
Bébête show was a satirical program French, created by Jean Amadou, Stephan Collaro and Jean Roucas. Diffused as from October 1983 on TF1 the emission remained with the antenna until September 1995. Bébête show was in the beginning only one sequence of the emission Cocoboy , before becoming in 1988 an emission with whole share, diffused the every day of 19:50 to 20:00. Initially basing its humor on word games, Bébête Show then commented on the topicality daily.
Freely inspired by the Muppet Show , this emission used puppets (drawn from the characters drawn by Jean-Yves Grall) to satirize the politicians of the day. François Mitterrand was incarnated by a frog similar to Kermit and named Kermitterrand. Jean-Marie Le Pen was Bécassine, called Pencassine. This puppet has a history: it makes following a vampire raising a spiked helmet, speaking with a German accent and outgoing about a wall cupboard while smoking. The politician having gained his lawsuit, the puppet was changed. Valery Giscard d'Estaing had three puppets: the first made couple with that of Gaston Defferre: they took up the idea of the two grumpy old men of Muppet Show, which lost its direction with the death of the mayor of Marseilles. The former President became marabout, which it tasted rather little, finding the puppet ugly. He then saw himself transforming into ouistiti with drum. Raymond Barre is incarnated in teddy bear, " Barzi" , Jacques Chirac in eagle with blue feathers, " Black Jack" , Georges Marchais incarnated the transposition of Piggy curiously Cochonne, to become " Marchie". Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher had their puppet right from the start, but without being transformed into animals. Nicolas Sarkozy which flirtait wildly with its Balladur Master was disguised in Sarcosette.
Came then Charles Pasqua in Morse (the minister with the smooth skin - police force), Jacques Chaban-Delmas out of duck (because it sits on the perch, with the Parliament), Michel Rocard in a corbel called " Rocroa" (become Roro the dispenser of justice masked after its replacement with Matignon by Edith Cresson), Henri Krasucki as a workman with crab grips (" the Zucki" crab;), Andre Lajoinie in idiotic dog (" Dédé Lajoitriste"), Antoine Waechter in apple tree, Pierre Juquin out of rabbit (" Juquin de Garenne"), Arlette Laguiller in weasel, Simone Veil in itself but called " Simone" owl; , with handbag but without feather, Laurent Fabius in squirrel (" Fafa the écureuil"), Bernard Tapie in bull (" Tapie violent"), Pierre Bérégovoy in faithful dog (" Béréwawa"), Edouard Balladur in pelican (" Ballacan Pélimou"), Ségolène Royal in ostrich (transitory), Philippe Séguin in tortoise, Alain Juppe in lizard, Jacques Toubon in cat, Robert Hue in soccer ball.
Edith Cresson was represented in panther, named Amabotte, represented like the flexible partner and large mouth of Kermit the frog, which the Prime Minister very little appreciated. It is that to which the book testifies to Elisabeth Schemla devoted to her passage to Matignon.
After the departure of Jean Roucas, and to face the competition of the Puppets of information, Stephan Collaro proposed in 1994 a modernized version of the emission, with new puppets. It was a failure and the emission stopped one year later, fault of having been able to find a tone likely to make him find success.
