Aztek
Aztek is a Super-héros pertaining to the fictional universe of cd. Comics. It was created in August 1996 by Grant Morrison and Mark Millar in the first episode of the series bearing its name.
History
The series
In the series, one discovers the hero, Uno, whereas it arrives at Vanity City. It there adopts the civil identity of Kurt Falconer and is established like local superman, under the name of Aztek.One discovers with the wire of the episodes that it east belongs to the foundation Q, a secret society of religious outlaws and renegade scientists which envisaged the return of the first Aztèque god, Quetzalcoatl, and the final battle between him and his brother Tezcatlipoca, supposed to take place with Vanity. In preparation, the base created costumes of war which must be carried by particularly qualified individuals.
In same time, it meets of the supermen like Batman, Superman and Green Lantern. It is acted in fact of operations of Lex Luthor, which finances the foundation Q in order to have a hero to infiltrate off the Justice League America. The series, in spite of very good criticisms, is completed fault of sales to the #10, whereas Aztek joined the JLA.
JLA
Aztek appears in JLA #5 (May 1997), series then scenarized by Grant Morrison, during the which JLA carries out discussions with candidates for the team.It joined the team in the #10 (September 1997), beginning of the saga " Rock'n'rolls off Age" (Times Disturbed in VF) but the team with her exit in the #15 will leave, after having discovered the implication of Luthor in the Foundation Q. During the same history, one sees appearing a new incarnation of Aztek, her replacing 15 years in the future, a black young woman who says that its predecessor was killed 8 years earlier. She will sacrifice herself to counter the plans of Darkseid while exploding the Moon and this future will be unobtrusive.
Aztek will die in JLA #41, at the conclusion of the saga " World War Three" who concludes the passage from Grant Morrison on the JLA, by releasing energies of his costume to fight Maggedon, supposed to be the incarnation of Tezcatlipoca.
It will briefly appear in the crossover JLA/Avengers.
