Azogues
Azogues is a town of Ecuador, capital of the province of Cañar.
The city has a remarkable Architecture and preserved very well. A Cathédrale with the yellow stone pediment is drawn up on the central place. The church of San Francisco is the largest sanctuary of the Ecuador dedicated to the worship of the Virgin Mary. One venerates there “ the Virgin of the Clouds ”.
A Marché takes place there every saturday, where one finds the famous Chapeau X Panama S in Paille “ toquilla ”, as well as many Céramique S and fabric S hand made by the peasants of the area.
