Aznar Sanchez

Aznar Sanchez , count of Vasconie (Gascogne), descendant of Hunald of Aquitaine, was charged in 824 by Pépin, king of Aquitaine, to reduce the Navarre, succeeds in this company, but kept for him its conquest and took in 831 the title of count de Navarre, that its descendants changed into that of king: he was thus the stem of kings de Navarre. Died in 837.
