Azincourt
Amset is an anthropomorphic genius of the Egyptian Mythologie.
It is the protective divinity of the liver of deaths. She is represented in the shape of a momifié man. Its place of worship is associated with the town of Bouto in the Delta of the Nile. It is one of the four funerary geniuses called “the wire of Horus” which had the role of keeping the internal organs of the body of the late one.
Starting from the end of, the stoppers of the vases canopes are modelled with the image of the divinities who protect them. The vase canope which contains the liver protected by Amset, with a lid which represents a human head. So that the capacity is achieved and that it protects the momifiés bodies, this genius must be associated with a goddess and a cardinal point. For Amset it is the South and the goddess Isis.
