Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli
Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli is important complex of oil layers. It is located in Offshore in the Caspian Sea, to 120 km of the coasts of the Azerbaïdjan. It would have from 5 to 6 Gbbls of reserves.
The development was entrusted by it to BP in 1994, within the framework of what the oil mediums took the practice to call the “contract of the century”.
In XXIe century, it is one of the more oil great projects under development in the world, and the second at sea Caspienne after Kashagan. The production started in 1997 in part of the layer, and it develops by phase, the objective being to reach a Mbbls /j in 2009, that is to say more than 1% of the worldwide production.
