Aywaille
Aywaille (in Walloon ) is a common French-speaking of Belgium located in Walloon region in the Province of Liege.
Tourist locality, one can make there rambles or with bicycle. Its principal attractions are the caves of Remouchamps with a navigable tunnel, a zoo and several castles, of which that of Harzé.
Since January 1st 1977, it gathers the old communes of Aywaille, Sougné-Remouchamps, Deigné, Harzé and Ernonheid.
In 2002, Aywaille was the only commune of Belgium has to become a commune of Europe there this year.
It is twinned with various communes of France, Germany, etc
the common one counts more than 10.000 inhabitants.
Curiosity
The small vault Holy-Anne, last vestige of the industrial activity which this small valley of Lembrée knew. Each year in period of June, a free breakfast is organized for its inhabitants and also with all those which wish it. The lunch is varied and very pleasant for all, all the commeracants take part in it.
