Aymar Taillefer

Aymar Taillefer (v. 1160 - deceased with Limoges the June 16th 1202 or 1217), wire of the count d' Angoulême Guillaume VI Taillefer and of Marguerite de Turenne, he is the brother of Guillaume VII Taillefer and as count d' Angoulême in 1186 succeeds to him.

It was faithful of the king Philippe Auguste.

In 1186, he marries Alice de Courtenay (1160 - 1218), divorced the count Guillaume de Joigny. Alice is the girl of Pierre Ier de Courtenay, small son of the king Louis VI the Large. With Alice, it has an only daughter: Isabelle of Angouleme which marries in first weddings the king d' Angleterre, Jean without Ground. Widow, it remarie with Hugues X of Lusignan which had been its old been engaged.
