Ayizan
In the Voodoo, in particular in Haiti, Ayizan (or Grande Have-Zan , Aizan , or Ayizan Velekete ) is the Lwa market and trade. It is one of the lwa-root, and its name would mean " Ground sacrée" or " Country sacré".
She is called upon at the time of the rites of initiation voodoo (called kanzo). Her husband is Loko Atisou, which knows the virtues of the plants and initiates the " doktè-fey" (doctors sheets), while Ayizan protects from the bad fates.
Its symbol is the Feuille of palm tree. Its Vévé watch four features forming a hatched central rhombus representing the sheet of palm, or a stylized palm tree. She does not drink alcohol, and its catholic doublet is Sainte Claire.
