A committed author
Sometimes one designates it as “the man in anger of the French SF”, famous for his yells. One can note that the covers of the first novels of Ayerdhal are illustrated by the Dessinateur Gilles Francescano and that with the dires of the author, his drawings would have inspired to him the character of the Histrion .Ayerdhal written of the Science fiction (SF) “ because the SF is powerful educational tools, a considerable ideological vehicle and the richest expression of creative imagination… even if I repeat myself. ” However, the SF is sold badly. Ayerdhal sees three great reasons there:
- Because the product is unsatisfactory:
- * “ the French authors misses scientific rigor (generally literary formation compared to the American writers), of breath epic and romantic instinct. ”
- * “ the majority of the classics commits suicide with poor books, by food compromise the bad ones never make the least food effort… and yet, they find editors! ”
- * “ a good manuscript must be worked again to become an excellent novel… no literary person in charge does not try hard of it, in any case at bottom (it is with the author of démerder, on vague general advices). ”
- Because the product has an bad image:
- * “ the media is unaware of the existence of the SF or break sugar to him on the back. ”
- * “ the fashion which consists in binding Fantastique, Fantasy, Gore and SF bitch conscientiously the image of our field of predilection. ”
- Because the product is ignored:
- * “ No effort promotional is granted the works. ”
- * “ the SF is always related to the Star Wars , that all those which refuse to read some went to see! Sic. ”
- * “ the SF is completely marginalized, it would not come to anybody the idea that it can be literature. It is all the more aberrant as with the cinema, the kind goes better than all the remainder and than it is more and more the image even of the chief of cinematographic work. ”
“ to summarize, the editor the author, the diffuser and the bookseller work beside their pumps. The media are responsible only for their silly thing, but is with the editor to make them evolve/move. The fan should open a little with the others. As for the reader, is frank, it is with us to convince it, not the reverse. ”
