Ayọ

Joy Olasunmibo Ogunmakin , of its name of scene Ayọ , born the September 14th 1980 near Cologne, is a German singer of English expression whose style is between drunk, Folk and Reggae. Its name of scene - Ayọ - means “joy” in Yoruba (without the point under O, that would mean “onion”).

Biography

Ayọ is the girl of a father Nigerian and a mother Rumanian gypsy . After a passage to Hamburg and London, Ayọ had settled in the district of the Markets in Paris and lived between Paris and New York. Today she lives in Kerpen-Brüggen in Germany.

In 2002, it ensures the first parts of the singer English Omar.

It is Jay Newland, the producer of the American singer Norah Jones which produced the twelve titles of Joyful . All the songs of this album were written and composed by Ayọ except for And it' S suposed to Be coils .
