Awakening of Maximo Oliveros
the Awakening of Maximo Oliveros (in Pilipino Ang Pagdadalaga nor Maximo Oliveros ) is a film of Auraeus Solito, on a scenario of Michiko Yamamoto, left to France the April 4th 2007. It is the first film of this Filipino realizer, who turned it in the streets of Manila, with two steps of its apartment. It is undoubtedly one of first Filipino films to openly approach the Homosexualité of a young character in a positive and poetic way.
With a total of eleven prices and two nominations, this film obtained three rewards with the Berlinale of 2006, of which the Teddy Award and the Price of the Young Public . In France, it obtained the Prix of the Public International festival of Film of Lyon Out-Screen 2006.
Of dimensioned sound, Auraeus Solito carries on its way since it finished its second film, Tuli , in the middle of the year 2006.
Synopsis
Maximum (Maximo), a twelve year old boy who lives in a Bidonville of Manila with his father and his/her two brothers, of the criminals, falls in love with Victor, a tempting police officer (J.R. Valentin). He finds himself soon taken between two fires…
