Aviation without borders

Aviation without borders is a humane governmental organization putting the aeronautical world at the service of the humanitarian, like air transport for various ONG and this with planes their pertaining or rented for well defined missions.

Aviation without Frontières brings by its voluntary airline pilots of the parcels " the colisage" and also accompanies by flight crew by the ill children and neat in Europe.

Very with started in France, the beginning of the year 1980, with like founders of the French pilots of Air France, Air Inter, etc Gerald Similovsky " Sim" , Andre Gréard and Alain Yout. Very quickly the Belgium followed with like denomination " A.S.F.B" Aviation without borders Piloten zonder Grenzen, then came, ASF.L Luxembourg ASF nl Netherlands and other countries followed.

The various countries have each one their own missions and planes (France and Belgium). There is a common code deontologic, but each country is completely autonomous in its management, the contacts between different " A.S.F." are frequent and in certain cases a co-operation on the ground exists, by ex: pilots, plane, material, etc

The various A.S.F are directed by a board of directors, which names a president, renewable each year at the time of a general meeting. The administrators come preferably from the aeronautical world and are all voluntary. The funds come from the gifts of the public and by financings granted by national authorities and European to ONG. The transparency of management and the accounts is a very important rule within A.S.F.

A.S.F. was since the very active beginning in Africa with its carrying small planes, Cessna, Britten Norman, Piper Six, Twin Otter, Pilatus, etc to transport of the personnel, of the drugs, logistics in difficult to reach places by the road because of the distance, of the state of the roads, or the wars. Many ONG on the ground used the service of A.S.F in particular Doctors without borders, Save the Children, UNICEF to quote only them, and this with the Chad, Mali, Sudan, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Angola, Central African Republic, Honduras, Ecuador,…
