Average-Egypt
The Average-Egypt is the central area of Egypt. In general, it is delimited of Qena (Dendérah) until the south of the Fayoum, about.
In Antiquity
The religious city of Average-Egypt east Abydos, or Hermopolis. There was no really capital in the area, or perhaps over limited an enough duration, as it is the case for Such el-Amarna, located close to Hermopolis, which was capital during a little less than ten years.
The Bless-Hassan is a site of great interest, where many important characters of the Moyen Empire are buried.
But the pearl of Average-Egypt remains without any doubt the temple of Séthi {{Ier}} with Abydos.
Currently it is very difficult to visit this area, bus of the disorders emerge from time to time, but nothing too serious for the tourists. It is however advised not to remain too much in this area.
